Advantages of A514 grade E alloy steel plate, ordinary carbon killed steel plate: there is no gas in the steel plate, the impurity is relatively small, the stress is very uniform, and it has good welding performance. It is widely used in parts with high requirements. Disadvantages of ordinary carbon killed steel plate: the surface quality of the killed steel plate is not as good as that of boiling plates, there are concentrated shrinkage holes, and the killed steel plate price is more expensive.
The addition of Ca element in steel such as A514 grade E alloy steel plate can refine grain size, partly desulphurize and change the composition, quantity and morphology of non-metallic inclusions. It is similar to that of adding rare earth in steel. It can improve the corrosion resistance, wear resistance, high temperature and low temperature resistance of steel, improve the impact toughness, fatigue strength, plasticity and welding performance of the steel, and increase the cold heading, shock resistance, hardness and contact endurance strength of the steel.
Flat steel is a kind of steel with rectangular cross-section and blunt edges at the edges and corners. It is usually 12-300 mm wide and 3-60 mm thick. Compared with A514 grade E alloy steel plate ordinary steel plate, the utilization rate of flat steel is increased by one to five percentage points. Moreover, flat steel can be produced with fixed thickness, width and length according to the user's requirements, which saves the cutting process for users, reduces the consumption of labor and materials, and also reduces the processing loss of raw materials, saving time, labor and material.
