In year 2015, we supplied 950 tons S355J0 angle steel to Egypt government. We have cooperation with local government for more than 3 years. Every year, they would order more than 3000 tons of A514 grade Q structural steel material steel from our company.
The effect of nitrogen (N) on the properties of A514 grade Q structural steel material and so on steel is similar to that of carbon and phosphorus. With the increase of nitrogen content, the strength of steel can be significantly improved, especially the plasticity, especially toughness, and the weldability will be decreased, and the cold brittleness will be intensified. At the same time, aging tendency, cold brittleness and hot brittleness will be increased, which will damage the weldability and cold bending property of steel. Therefore, the nitrogen content in A514 grade Q structural steel material and so on steel should be reduced and limited as much as possible. Generally, nitrogen content should not be higher than 0.018%.
Steel A514 grade Q structural steel material exports fell sharply year on year. According to the data of the General Administration of customs, 7.811 million tons of steel were exported from January to February, a year-on-year decrease of 27.0%; 2.041 million tons of imported steel, a year-on-year increase of 2.1%. Steel prices continue to fall. According to the monitoring of China Iron and Steel Industry Association, China's steel A514 grade Q structural steel material composite price index at the end of January was 105.48 points, down 0.58% month on month; at the end of February, the index continued to decline to 100.39 points, down 4.83% month on month.
