The cold bending method is mainly used to produce cold-formed section steel and welded pipe. The cold bending method is to bend the steel strip or steel plate into various cross-section shapes by the cold bending machine in the cold state. If the A283 grade B CS steel carbon plate steel pipe is bent into a circular, square or other hollow shape and welded by a proper welding method, it is a welded pipe. The advantages of cold bending: first, the cold-formed section steel is light in weight and large in bearing capacity, and it can save metal by replacing the hot-rolled section steel; second, it can produce all kinds of A283 grade B CS steel carbon plate extremely thin, extremely wide and complex section steel which can not be produced by hot rolling.
In 2018, one of our India customers visit Zhengzhou office building and work shop to discuss carbon steel Q235B grind plate technical request. They have strict surface and thickness tolerance, and they also request UT and MT for testing for Q235B grind plate. As a result, they purchase 179 tons as trial order for first cooperation. After using the gind plate, the India customer has good comment on our A283 grade B CS steel carbon plate quality. Till now, we keep exporting around 100 tons per month as regularly.
A283 grade B CS steel carbon plate, ASTM A131 shipbuilding steel has different grade levels. The ordinary strength shipbuilding steel grades are grade A/B/D/E. Their min. yield strength is 235 Mpa, and tensile strength is 400-520 Mpa. The higher strength shipbuilding steel grades are grade AH32/DH32/EH32/FH32, AH36/DH36/EH36/FH36 AH40/DH40/EH40/FH40. The min. yield strength of AH32/DH32/EH32/FH32 steel is 315 Mpa, and tensile strength is 440-590 Mpa. The min. yield strength of AH36/DH36/EH36/FH36 steel is 355 Mpa, and tensile strength is 490-620 Mpa. The min. yield strength of AH40/DH40/EH40/FH40 steel is 390 Mpa, and tensile strength is 510-650 Mpa.
