The microstructure of the quenched and tempered alloy steel, A572 Gr 60 high strength steel after conventional heat treatment is tempered sorbite. For parts with wear-resistant surface (such as gears and spindles), induction heating surface quenching and low-temperature tempering are carried out, and the surface structure is tempered martensite. The surface hardness can reach 55HRC-58HRC. After quenching and tempering, the yield strength of quenched and tempered alloy steel is about 800MPa, the impact toughness is 800kJ / m2, and the core hardness is 22HRC - 25HRC. If the cross-section size is large but not quenched, the properties will be significantly reduced.

Lopes, President of the Brazilian Iron and Steel Association, pointed out that at present, increasing A572 Gr 60 high strength steel and so on steel exports would be the best choice for Brazilian steel producers. The Association has made a series of proposals to the Brazilian government to support the economic recovery. Lopes revealed that the Association is seeking to increase the export tax rebate proportion of the steel industry from the current 0.1% to 5%, which will give related products a price advantage of 7% when exporting, and the export volume is expected to increase by 20%.
