For S420NL weldable fine grain structural steel plate, it is produced under specification EN 10025-3. The yield strength of S420NL plate shall be above 420Mpa for the thickness below 16 millimeter, 400MPa min. for thickness below 40mm, 390MPa min. for thickness below 63mm. The tensile strength for thickness below 100mm of this steel grade S420NL shall be within 520-680Mpa. For the Mill test certificates of steel S420NL,A572 grade 60 high strength steel, our mill would like to issue format according to EN 10204 3.1.
A572 grade 60 high strength steel, 20CrMo alloy steel plate has high hardenability, no temper brittleness, good weldability, little tendency of cold cracking, good machinability and cold strain plasticity. 20CrMo alloy steel plate is generally used in the state of quenching and tempering or carburizing and quenching. 20CrMo alloy steel plate is used to manufacture high-pressure pipes, fasteners and carburized parts, such as gears and shafts, working in non corrosive medium and medium containing mixture of nitrogen and hydrogen under 250 ℃.
Chemical composition of Q420 steel: C ≤ 0.20, Si ≤ 0.50, Mn ≤ 1.70, P ≤ 0.035, S ≤ 0.035, Nb ≤ 0.07, V ≤ 0.20, Ti ≤ 0.20, Cr ≤ 0.30, Ni ≤ 0.80, Cu ≤ 0.30, N ≤ 0.015, Mo ≤ 0.20. The mechanical properties of Q420 steel are: yield strength ≥ 340 MPa, tensile strength 500-680 MPa, elongation after fracture ≥ 18%, impact energy 34J. A572 grade 60 high strength steel, Q420 steel has good mechanical properties and weldability, good cold and hot workability. Q420 steel is mainly used for manufacturing mining machinery, heavy vehicles, ships, bridges, medium and high pressure boilers, vessels and other large welding and structural parts.
