Q460D material is a low-alloy ultra-high-strength steel with high hardenability. The critical hardening diameter in oil is 60mm (96% martensite). The steel can obtain high strength after quenching and tempering. The toughness, and can be processed into shape; but the cold deformation plasticity and weldability are low.
