The A514 grade B QT steel plate steel making furnace can only be used as primary refining, and the refining needs to be completed in the refining equipment outside the furnace, which is also called secondary refining. It is mainly through decarburization, desulfuration, denitrification and dephosphorization to improve the cleanness of the steel, to establish a chromium molybdenum low alloy steel with good oxidation resistance and high temperature strength, to remove unwanted harmful impurities from the steel, and to improve the A514 grade B QT steel plate internal quality of the steel.
In 2016. Our company offer 1200 tons API 5L GR.B hot rolled coil to Bangladesh——100 tons for 3.9*625mm, and 1100 tons for 7*683mm. It is one tender project, we get the tender at the end of 2015, and arrange the production in 2016. They required the tolerance of thickness is +0.1/-0.2mm, and width tolerance is +/-0.5mm, which is a very high requirement for coil tolerance, but our mill handling this very well. and our Q/C department witness all of the process.
A514 grade B QT steel plate, API 5L X52 steel with the thickness range is 1.2-40mm, the width range is 1220-4200mm, and the length range is 5000-18000mm. API 5L X52 steel’s mechanical properties is the yield strength 300MPa, and the tensile strength 460MPa. To be specified in details: Maximum content for C≤0.28%, Mn≤1.4%, P≤0.030%, S is 0.030%, V+Nb+Ti≤0.15%, Copper maximum is 0.50%, nickel maximum 0.50%, chromium 0.50%, Molybdenum 0.15%.
