There is an inherent difference between the cold forming properties of low-alloy high-strength steel and carbon structural steel. Second, when low-alloy high-strength steel is formed, a slightly larger allowable amount for springback should be given. According to experience, unless the low-alloy high-strength steel is processed to control the shape of inclusions, it is necessary to use a larger bending radius than carbon structural steel during cold forming.

We need to take care that the Q235B steel strength varies with thickness. For the min. yield strength of Q235B steel plate: it is 235Mpa if thickness ≤16mm, 225 Mpa for thickness 16-40mm, 215 Mpa for thickness 40-60mm, 205 Mpa for thickness 60-100mm, 195 Mpa for thickness 100-150mm, 185 Mpa for thickness over 150mm. The tensile strength of Q235B steel plate is 375-500 Mpa.
