According to different purposes, the thin steel sheets are rolled from billets of different materials. Commonly used materials include plain carbon steel, such as A588 grade B structural steel plate, high-quality carbon steel, alloy structural steel, carbon tool steel, stainless steel, spring steel, and silicon steel for electrical purposes. The thin steel sheets are mainly used in the automobile industry, aviation industry, enamel industry, electrical industry, machinery industry and other sectors. In addition to delivery directly after rolling, there are also pickled, galvanized and tinned thin steel sheets.
A588 grade B structural steel plate, St52-3 steel is a low alloy, high strength structural steel which can be readily welded to other weldable steel. St52-3 steel’s mechanical properties is yield strength more than 355 MPa, tensile strength 490-630Mpa. For St52-3 steel, the C element content is 0.24%, the Si element content is 0.55% max, the Mn element content is 1.60% max, the P element content is 0.045% max, the S element content is 0.045% max.
